Frengo

Frengo disembarked at Fiumicino airport. He was 50 years old now,and he was astonished by the changes he saw.
The first thing to astonish him was a robot that spoke to him with a human voice and carried his bags to the car. What amazed him even more was a real man who controlled everything through the computer.
He went to his relatives'house and he was surprised to see a multicolor car with an automatic pilot!
After having found all his relatives again, Frengo spent some time with his family.
He visited the city and noticed the trasformations.
Then he realized that it was time to look for a new job...
But this wouldn't be simple...
Frengo went to an interview for a position in an accounting firm.
The employer explained him that they needed a person to insert data into the new program "artemius2."
Frengo realized that his school diploma wasn't necessary.
After the interview he realized that, in order to earn an average wage, he needed a wider cultural knowledge which in the past hadn't been necessary.
Therefore he started looking for a job as a bar-man.
He went into a bar and he noticed that it was all electronic: there were dispensing-machines that served drinks,ice-creams and sandwiches in a twinkle of an eye.
People came in and got immediately what they wanted.
Bars were no longer places where people met to chat or to leisurely have something to eat or drink.
Frengo decided to try looking for a job in a store. He entered a shop but he didn't see any girls.
He found a maxi-computer where the word "Welcome!" was written. "Digit the item of clothing desired".
Frengo digited: "Trousers" and the computer answered: "Colour? Size? Style? If necessary consult icona information."
Frengo wrote all the information and suddenly felt himself trasported by a moving carpet... he was carried into a small room where he found a pair of trousers.
Frengo turned down this job. After some days, he went to a carpenter's shop.
Entering the carpenter's shop he noticed only four people and a lot of machines.
These machines did everything and the end result was ready to use.
Frengo understood that jobs hadn't changed:employment hadn't diminished, but all the jobs were oriented towards stores in franchising, multinational companies and information offices.
